Job Vacancy: Engagement Manager Research (maternity cover)

The UKCRC TDCC is currently recruiting a maternity cover for the Engagement Manager, Research position. The post will be located within the UCL Division of Surgery and Interventional Science at the Royal Free campus, though we will consider candidates request to work within the Advanced Data Analysis Centre at the University of Nottingham.

The job holder’s key responsibilities will include:

  • Developing and managing the delivery of the UK Biobanking Showcase, our annual national event which draws approximately 180 delegates from across academia, NHS and industry.
  • Contributing to the general external communications for the UKCRC TDCC, including writing web content and blogs, developing and maintaining presence on digital channels, and presentations to stakeholders.
  • Eliciting and managing user feedback for ongoing development of specific products including the UKCRC Tissue Directory and the BBMRI-ERIC Directory.

Key Requirements

Applicants must be educated to degree level or have equivalent experience. Experience of partnership working and working across multiple organisations, planning and running events and writing for different audiences, for example, academic publications, reports, and online content are all essential. S/he will have excellent knowledge of engagement techniques and approaches and have experience of designing, implementing, monitoring and evaluating a stakeholder engagement plan.
